School Uniform
Students are expected to observe the school dress conventions as we believe that smart, practical dress is important. Students will be required to wear full school uniform to and from school; this includes wearing black shoes.
The co-operation of parents is required to ensure that the appearance of their son/daughter is suitable and appropriate for a working school day. Parents may purchase items listed from any stockist apart from jumpers, sweatshirts, PE shirts and polo shirts which are only available through school. We would strongly advise that all articles of clothing are labelled, particularly PE equipment. Marked clothing rarely gets mislaid, but it is difficult to trace anonymous items.
It is important that all students take part in games and PE lessons. There will be occasions when everyone is expected to represent their house. If there is a sound medical reason why a student is unable to take part, we ask for a note from home stating this reason. The note should be given to the PE teacher at the beginning of the lesson.
Please note that spray deodorants are not allowed in school. However, roll-ons or stick deodorants are acceptable.
Notes
1) Large logos on anoraks/coats are not appropriate.
2) Denim or leather jackets are not appropriate.
3) Long hair must be tied back in practical activities, for safety reasons
